Botswana-Zimbabwe Itinerary
An expert-guided, 12-day conservation and wildlife journey through roaring waterfalls, monumental granite hills, and wild elephant corridors.
Day 1: Arrival in Maun, Botswana
Touch down at Maun Airport, the primary hub for the Okavango Delta, where your driver transfers you to your riverfront lodge. Spend the afternoon unwinding along the peaceful riverbanks. Overnight: Thamalakane River Lodge (or similar).
Day 2: Journey to the Makgadikgadi Pans
Leave Maun behind and travel east toward the vast salt pans of the Makgadikgadi. Upon arrival, stretch your legs on a guided nature walk to take in the scenery and stand beneath ancient baobab trees. Overnight: Planet Baobab (or similar)
Day 3: Nxai Pan National Park Safari
Spend a full day exploring the distinct lunar-like landscape of Nxai Pan National Park. Track desert herbivores, giraffes, and predators adapted to these open horizons.

Day 4: Into Greater Moremi
Drive back west to the fringe of the Okavango Delta into the Greater Moremi region. In the late afternoon, set off on an evening game drive through a private concession as nocturnal species begin to move.

Day 5: Moremi Game Reserve
Dedicate an entire day to game viewing in the Moremi Game Reserve. Explore rich ecosystems ranging from seasonal floodplains to dense mopane woodlands while
tracking Africa’s famous wildlife.

Day 6: Fly to Kasane & Chobe River Boat Cruise
Board a scenic light aircraft flight over northern Botswana to Kasane. In the afternoon, board a boat for a game viewing cruise along the Chobe River to spot elephant
herds and hippos along the banks.

Days 7 & 8: Cross to Zimbabwe & Hwange National Park
Cross the border into Zimbabwe and head toward Hwange National Park. En route, stop at the Painted Dog Conservation Centre to learn about wild dog rescue, rehabilitation, and local anti-poaching initiatives. In the late afternoon, enjoy an optional game drive on a private concession.

Day 9: Full-Day Hwange Safari
Spend the entire day exploring Hwange National Park, famous for its dense elephant population, pride lions, and herds of plains game visiting active waterholes.

Day 10: Victoria Falls & Zambezi Sunset Cruise
Drive to Victoria Falls. End the day with a sunset cruise on the mighty Zambezi River, taking in views of the water and surrounding wildlife.

Day 11: Victoria Falls at Leisure
Enjoy a free day in Victoria Falls. Use this time for optional adventures, such as a walk through Victoria Falls National Park, a helicopter flight over the gorge, or a local market tour.

Day 12: Farewell & Airport Transfer
Enjoy breakfast before taking a direct transfer to Victoria Falls Airport for your outbound flight, concluding your tour
